This notice explains how Menai Meats (Wales) Limited ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through this website. We are the controller of that information, which means we decide how it is used.

What we collect
We collect what you choose to send us, and the basic technical information that any website receives.
The export enquiry form
On our export page: your name, position, business name and type of business, email address, phone number, destination country, destination port or city (optional) and website (optional), the products you are interested in, chilled or frozen, your estimated volume, the best time to call, how you heard of us, and your message.
The contact form
On our contact page: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message.
Spam protection
Both forms record when the form was opened and include a hidden field that people never see. We use these only to filter out automated spam.
Emails and phone calls
If you email or call us, we keep your contact details and what you tell us, so we can deal with your enquiry.
Technical information
Like most websites, the servers that host this site receive basic information with each request, such as your IP address, the type of browser you use and the page you asked for. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
Analytics
We do not currently use analytics on this website. If we add analytics, we will use a tool that does not identify you or set cookies, or we will ask for your consent first, and we will update this notice before it starts.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
Data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use of personal information. These are ours:

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights, and we do not use your information in ways you would not expect.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them.
Information stored outside the UK
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure it is protected, for example by UK adequacy regulations or by the UK's approved contract terms for international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it:

Your rights

To use any of these rights, email menaimeats@hotmail.com with "Data protection" in the subject line, or write to us at our registered office. We may need to check your identity first. We will reply within one month, and there is normally no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. Email menaimeats@hotmail.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days.
